CHILDREN'S AND GIRLS' SKIRTS AND APPLIQUES: Pull-on skirts A, B, C are mid-knee length, have tiers and hem ruffle created by stitching multiple contrasting strips of fabric together; skirts A, C have Rick-rack trim; purchased T-shirt can be embellished with butterfly applique (guide included) and rick-rack trim.
NOTIONS: Thread, ⁷/8 Yd. of ³/4" Wide Elastic, Washable Marker or Masking Tape, Purchased T-shirt and Rick-rack for T-shirt; Skirt A - also 3 Yds. of Jumbo Rick-rack; Skirt C - Jumbo Rick-rack: 3¹/4 Yds. of One Color, 8¹/4 Yds. of Another Color, 4¹/2 Yds. of Medium Rick-rack; Skirt A, C - Embroidery Floss.
SUGGESTED FABRICS: Skirt A, B, C - Cotton • Cotton Blends • Calico; For Strips - 2¹/2" Jelly Roll Can also be used; Skirt C - also Conversational Prints. Additional Fabric may be needed to match stripes, plaids or one-way design fabric.
NOTE: Buy yardage for strips as listed below or use jelly roll. To later identify sections, using a washable marker or masking tape, on wrong side of fabric, label individual section, e.g.: upper tier, lower tier, ruffle.
